Our editorial goal
AudiobookCalc aims to make audiobook timing, production, narration, and economics easier to understand through transparent formulas, practical examples, and links to relevant source material.
Calculator methodology
Where possible, formulas are described in plain language so readers can reproduce the calculation. Inputs that vary by project—such as narration WPM, PFH rate, royalty percentage, sales, editing time, or page density—should remain editable rather than being presented as universal facts.
Time-sensitive information
For changing platform rules, we prefer current official documentation. Examples include ACX royalty terms, ACX audio submission requirements, Libby playback controls, Google publisher policies, and similar platform-specific information. Dated context is labeled when practical.
Search and semantic coverage
We may review current search-result themes to understand what readers are trying to solve, but content should answer those questions naturally rather than repeat keywords or manufacture thin pages for every minor variation.
Corrections
If we discover a material factual or formula error, we aim to correct it. Readers can report a suspected error through the Contact page with the page URL and enough detail to reproduce the issue.
Commercial influence
Advertising or affiliate relationships should not determine calculator formulas or factual conclusions. Sponsored material, if published, should be labeled.
